Love + Charcoal

Hi Beauties! I thought I’d share one of my go to masks on a self care Sunday or anytime during the week when my skin needs a bit more of a cleanse and to unclog my pores. First of all, I’m a huge fan of One Love Organics (OLO). I actually have every single one of their skincare products because I swear by their brand and their made in the USA in my home state, Georgia! They are also certified cruelty free by PETA and have an ECOCERT certification as well.

Charcoal is apparently known to remove impurities, improve acne and reduce the appearance of pores and blackheads. This Love + Charcoal masque from OLO is not like other charcoal masks I’ve seen because it’s not chalky or textured. It’s creamy and though it’s pretty thin in consistency you actually don’t need to layer on a ton. Check me out in all my charcoal glory below. Do I look like Elphaba from Wicked or what? That’s who I always think of when I put it on! :) You can’t tell in the picture, but it does have a dark green tint to it.

I leave it on for 15 minutes and then, rinse with warm water. It always leaves my skin feeling refreshed and extra clean. I also like that it doesn’t have a strong fragrance.
